Expected Launching & Availability of iPhone 15 Lineup
Apple has plans to organize an event on 12
September 2023 with the invitation naming it "Wonderlust" and
news about the expected launching of the iPhone 15 series circulated
everywhere.
It has been seen as a tradition set by Apple that its iPhones are made available in the markets after 10 days of launching. Hence we can expect the iPhone 15 series to arrive in different markets on September 22, 2023, with slight fluctuations according to each marketplace.
Models & Colours of iPhone 15 Lineup
Apple is expected to launch four models in its 15
lineup which are iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone
15 Pro Max.
As per leaks revealed, the iPhone 15 & iPhone
15 Plus, both the standard models are expected to come in five colour
options Black, Blue, Green, Yellow & Pink. Another leak confirmed
that both the Pro models will be available in four colours options. The
iPhone 15 Pro will have colour variations of Gray, Blue, Black & White
whereas the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available in Space Black,
Silver, Gray & Deep Blue.
Pricing of iPhone 15 Lineup
Rumors about the price of the iPhone 15 series claim
that there will be some price hikes in Pro models but another leak
revealed a slight price increase in the standard models too.
The expected price of standard iPhone 15 models is
$799 for the iPhone 15 & $899 for the iPhone 15
Plus while the iPhone 15 Pro has an expected price of $1099
& $1199 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Cameras of iPhone 15 Lineup
Camera features of the iPhone 15 series have certain
upgrades as disclosed by leaks & rumors through many sources. iPhone 15
& 15 Plus, both standard models are expected an upgraded 48MP
Main lens in the dual camera setup found earlier in iPhone 14 Pro models.
Both Pro models will have a triple camera setup
having a third optical zoom lens. iPhone 15 Pro is expected to have a 12MP
Telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capabilities but the major upgrade
of cameras is in the iPhone 15 Pro Max where a 12MP periscope
lens having 6x optical zoom is expected for better long-range photos for
the first time in iPhones.

Display Size
Apple will launch four models in its iPhone 15
lineup out of which the iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Pro are 6.1"
OLED and the iPhone 15 Plus & iPhone 15 Pro Max have
6.7" displays.
Titanium instead of Aluminium
Another upgrade to the previous iPhones will be the
use of Titanium frames instead of stainless steel in the Pro
handsets only making them lightweight. Both of the regular models of iPhone
15 will still have aluminum frames.
Haptic Buttons Vs. Physical Buttons
Earlier rumours claimed that the iPhone 15 series
will come with Haptic Buttons instead of solid ones. But later it was
revealed Apple faced difficulties in implementing it, therefore physical
buttons remain in the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup.
Action Button in Pro Models
Another change in design still expected is a new Action
Button as a Mute switch in the iPhone 15 Pro models
which can also be customized for other functions.
Dynamic Island
Another change in the standard iPhone 15 models are inclusion of the feature Dynamic Island which was previously used in the iPhone 14 Pro models. But this time all iPhone 15 lineups will have Dynamic Island which means full-screen display without notch.
USB-C Port & Charging of iPhone 15 Lineup
Apple will use a USB-C port instead of the Lightning
port in all of its iPhone 15 lineup for the first time because of EU
regulations. This USB-C port in the Pro models will support data
transfer with high speed but standard iPhone 15 models will support the
same USB 2.0 speed which is the same as Lightning port speed.
Some news about charging speed indicates that some iPhone
15 models will support high charging speeds of up to 35W for the upgraded
battery capacity of some iPhone 15 models.
Processor & Software of iPhone 15 Lineup
According to leaked information, the regular iPhone 15 &
iPhone 15 Plus will run on the same Apple A16 Bionic chip as in
the iPhone 14 Pro models. But the iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone
15 Pro Max could have updated Apple A17 Bionic chip set which means
faster speed along with the updated 8GB RAM instead of 6GB for Pro
models.
As far as the software is concerned, the iPhone 15 series
will have the new software launched recently at WWDC 2023 which is iOS
17 having a lot of new features.
