Google announced the latest Android 15 version to be soon released with advanced technology & features. Before the final arrival of the fully updated Android 15, there is a lot of news, leaks & rumours discussed according to the first Android 15 Developer Preview. Naming & Release Date

Google used the dessert codenames for all Android versions till the release of Android 10, so the later releases were called by their Version numbers. Android 15 was given the name according to this version number pattern but it is still called internally as 'Vanilla Ice Cream'. Google officially released the first Developer Preview of Android 15 on February 16, 2024, which is now being tested by developers for feedback.

Release Timeline Schedule of the Android 15

Google announced the schedule for all the developer previews going to be released with the first Android 15 Developer Preview. This timeline tells the first two developer previews are scheduled on 17 February & Mid-March followed by beta releases in April & May which will be more stable. Platform Stability will start in June-July onwards, & final public release of Android 15 is expected between August & October.

Initially, Google Pixel Phones & Tablets were the ones who could use the developer previews. All the other devices can get the latest Android 15 version after the final release of Android 15. The list of compatible devices is as follows,

Android 15 brings the new feature of keyboard vibration toggle for turning on or off vibration for all keyboards at once.
